Patience, Grasshopper.

Something I've been thinking about today is freshmen and young teenagers in general.

Personally, I respect teachers that can handle all of the immature and rowdy, chattering crowds of freshies, because I could never do that. In fact, I fear that I would end up throwing up my hands in exasperation and screaming "ACH! Just stop with the giggling about things that aren't funny! You are bringing the IQ levels in this room to an embarrassing new low."

"Patience, grasshopper."

Honestly, the generation that I grew up in seemed a lot more mature than this one (a strange thing to say, but I can't help but feel it's accurate).

Am I over-reacting?  Perhaps. I realize that part of our jobs as the Older Ones is to encourage awkward Younglings and ignore their incessant giggles after witnessing slapstick humor, but sometimes it is so hard.

I mean, I totally believe in being good examples in Christ.

God, help me not to strangle the tweens.
Because murder, kids, is wrong.

Anyways. Feel free to let me know how you feel on the matter! Most likely, everyone else has a better handle on such things than I do.

Song of the Day: No One - Aly and AJ

Verse of the DayEphesians 4:1-3
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
[Now isn't THAT a verse I should have been thinking about today? :) ]
